Handcrafted Felt Florals

Where It All Began

Five Olive Leaves was born from a quiet love for nature, memory, travel, and meaningful creation.

I’m Nabila — the maker and heart behind the brand — based in Calgary, Alberta. With a background in biodiversity conservation and a lifelong affection for florals and the natural world, I felt called to create something beautiful and purposeful that honoured both sustainability and storytelling.

As a mother to two wonderful boys, my days have been filled with the gentle, beautiful chaos of motherhood. Within that rhythm, my connection to nature and creativity only deepened. Those years shaped a desire for a creative outlet that could hold both — my love for design and my role as a mother.

What began as a search for sustainable materials led me to wool-blend felt — soft, forgiving, and full of possibility. From there, I taught myself the art of flower making and began creating floral pieces, decor, and accessories, each collection inspired by different chapters of my life.

A brand with a heart

Every handcrafted piece is a reflection of my journey: my love for Canada's breathtaking natural beauty, fondness for children's literature, treasured memories from my own childhood, and the adventures that continue to inspire me. Each design begins with felt in hand, inspiration all around, and a story at heart.

Our Essence

Sustainable

Each piece is crafted using sustainably sourced felt and eco-conscious packaging to honour our planet.

Handmade

Each flower is carefully designed, shaped, and assembled by hand and with care in Calgary, Alberta.

Everlasting

Unlike fresh blooms, our felt florals are thoughtfully designed to be cherished for years to come.

Our Inspiration

Nature & Flowers

Nature — which has always inspired and soothed me through life’s seasons — became an inspiration behind my work, with botanicals and florals woven into each piece.

Childhood & Memory

My beautiful mom — her memories, my childhood with her, and her love for flowers — became one of my greatest inspirations in creating handcrafted florals.

Travels & Literature

My travels and the timeless children’s stories I’ve loved — where places and pages gently bloom — became an inspiration behind some of my collections.
